How to support SIO
We would love your help!
Cancer does not discriminate – it knows no age, cultural, gender, financial or
political boundaries. With over 18,000,000 survivors in the United States
alone, this number continues to grow, as does the need for utilization of
Integrative Oncology modalities to
improve patients’ experience of treatment and outcomes.
Since 2003, Society for Integrative Oncology has been focused on
researching and implementing these game changing treatments through
programs such as:
Donate to SIO Today!
- Supporting researchers and young investigators, including four Dr. Barrie Cassileth New Investigator Scholars in 2024
- Comprehensive Integrative Oncology Textbook publication, Fall 2025
- Clinical guidelines partnership with ASCO (Topic: Sleep)
- Implementation of acupuncture and massage therapy protocols through the IMAGINE Project across 35 institutions within the US
- Publication of Patient-facing eBook to educate on Integrative Oncology due Early Summer, 2025
- Webinars (Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Cannabis)
- Annual international conferences – Registration is open for SIO2025 at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Harvard Medical School

Individuals and Entities
Your support of the Society for Integrative Oncology helps advance our mission
by developing public and professional resources. Charitable contributions to
SIO are tax deductible, as allowed by law. The following are ways to support
SIO in making a difference in integrative oncology.
In conjunction with membership applications or renewals
Members have the opportunity to make a voluntary contribution when applying
for or renewing their memberships. The printable form or
on-line form
includes a place to indicate a donation for the general purposes of SIO.
In memory of a colleague or loved one
SIO offers the opportunity for you to make a donation in honor of a colleague
or loved one. This is a fine way to recognize the individual on a special
occasion, such as a work anniversary, promotion, new work setting, or
birthday. Acknowledgments will be sent to the honoree. The amount of your gift
will not be specified.
Corporate and institutional matching gifts
SIO welcomes corporate and institutional matching gifts. By taking advantage
of this opportunity, you can leverage the amount of your donation. For
individuals in such corporate and institutional settings, please contact your
Human Resources Department to obtain the guidelines for matching gifts. Please
include that form along with your donation to SIO. We will be in contact with
the corporation or institution to inform the entity of your donation and we
can assist in seeking the matching gift.
Through a bequest
You may name SIO in your will, specifying a dollar amount, estate percentage,
or, the remainder of your estate, or the remainder of a trust to SIO. Please
note whether the bequest is for general purposes. Such a bequest may reduce
the size of a taxable estate.
