We are excited to announce the upcoming Society Integrative Oncology (SIO) meeting in Limassol, Cyprus, which will be held 29 & 30 May 2023. The theme is: Research and Training as Tools for enhancing and strengthening Integrative Oncology in Cyprus and other European Union Countries. In collaboration with the German Oncology Center, Fondazione ARTOI, and our venue Cyprus University of Technology, this two-day event will offer a comprehensive introduction to the latest issues and advancements in integrative oncology medicine, presented by some of the most renowned clinicians in the field.
The event will take place in beautiful Cyprus, and will be an opportunity for clinicians from across Europe to come together and learn about the latest approaches to cancer care from the experts within SIO. Our confirmed speakers include clinicians from a variety of fields, from traditional oncology to alternative therapies and mind-body practices. The cost of the Workshop is 100 Euros for either SIO Members or non-members.
This workshop will provide an opportunity to open a dialogue with investigators interested on integrative oncology research and hopefully generate enough enthusiasm to investigate further in this area of research. The main aims of the workshop are: to 1) discuss the integration of traditional, complementary and integrative medicine (TCIM) with conventional cancer prevention and treatment approaches in global health and particularly in Cyprus and other European Union (EU) Countries thus forming new approaches to integrative oncology practice, and 2) discuss concrete approaches for strengthening integrative oncology research and training in Cyprus and other EU countries.
