SIO’s International Conference, to be held November 5-7, 2016 in Miami, Florida, will feature plenary sessions on natural products, culture and caregiving, mind-body, and policy issues.

The natural products plenary, on November 6, will include: The plenary session on natural products will feature Peiying Yang, PhD, of The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas, as moderator and panelists Nagi Kumar, PhD, RD, FADA, of the Moffitt Cancer Center; Michael J. Wargovich, PhD, FACN, The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Texas; and Robert S. Chapkin, PhD, of Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas.

The Society for Integrative Oncology has announced three keynote speakers for its 13th International Conference, scheduled for November 5-7, 2016 in Miami, Florida. The Conference theme is “Advancing the Global Impact of Integrative Oncology."  Yung Chi-Cheng, PhD, of Yale University will speak on his work in translational pharmacology on Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine (TCM); Michael Irwin, MD, of the University of California at Los Angeles, discuss the effect of mind-body medicine on the immune system and sleep.; Vinjar Fønnebø, MD, PhD, of the University of Tromsø, Norway, will discuss health service and policy issues related to integrative oncology from an European perspective.

Healthcare professionals, patients and advocates from around the globe will convene at the Society for Integrative Oncology 12th International Conference, to be held November 14-16 in Boston, Massachusetts, to discuss the latest in evidence-based research and practice in individualized integrative cancer care.
