SIO has chosen post-workshops for presentation at its 2017 international conference in Chicago, Illinois. The conference will be held November 12-14, with the post-conference sessions from 1-5 p.m. on November 14. The three concurrent workshops will be:
“Cancer Biomarkers for Complementary and Alternative Medicine,” with panelists of the Division of Cancer Treatment and Diagnosis of the National Cancer Institute/Nationals Institutes of Health: Aniruddha Ganguly, PhD, Program Director, Office of the Associate Director, Cancer Diagnosis Program, and Jeffrey D. White, MD, Director, Office of Cancer Complementary and Alternative Medicine. Also participating will be: David A. Klein, PT, EdD, professor emeritus D'Youville College, Buffalo, NY; Peter Wayne, PhD, Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School and Research Director of the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine, Division of Preventive Medicine, Brigham and Women’s Hospital; and David Rosenthal, MD, Professor Emeritus at Harvard University.
“Introduction to Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System® (PROMIS®) and NIH Toolbox®,” with Nan Rothrock, PhD, Research Associate Professor in the Department of Medical Social Sciences, and Christa Martens, MPH, Research Project Manager, both of the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University.
