The National Cancer Institute’s Behavioral Research Program (BRP) is pleased to announce that formal vacancy announcements for the following positions will open on January 21, 2020. BRP plans to select candidates from this recruitment for three Health Scientist Administrator (Program Director) positions and one Senior Scientist (Senior Advisor) position.

Program Director in Cancer Survivorship – within the Basic Biobehavioral and Psychological Sciences Branch
Candidates with a research or clinical focus on survivorship-related basic behavioral, biobehavioral, and psychological processes or behavioral interventions are especially encouraged to apply.

Program Director in Health Communication – within the Health Communication and Informatics Research Branch
Candidates with experience in any relevant area of health communication and informatics research are welcomed, especially those with expertise in connected health, mHealth, health IT, telehealth, and digital health.

Program Director in Tobacco Cessation – within the Tobacco Control Research Branch
Candidates with experience in any relevant area of tobacco control research are welcomed, particularly those with expertise in tobacco cessation and demonstrated experience in the development and evaluation of interventions, including the initiation, oversight, and/or conduct of clinical trials research.

Senior Advisor – within the BRP Office of the Associate Director
Candidates should hold a current position at the level of Full Professor (or equivalent). Those with experience in editorial and other peer review roles, past and/or current leadership in relevant professional organizations, and a strong record of scholarship, including an exceptional record of funding and peer-reviewed publications, are encouraged to apply.
